PCAS is the Richard Burbidge chosen charity of the year for 2020. PCAS stands for Peer Counselling & Advocacy Service, they are a free independent advocacy service, and help those with any disability, including mental health, physical disabilities, Alzheimer’s, and learning difficulties.
They are located less than 10 minutes from our Head Quarters, PCAS are based in Oswestry and provide their services to those in need throughout Shropshire. They visit those that need their help within the safety of their own homes. Some issues they help with are helping with budgeting, moving homes and talking through problems or concerns.
We will be running a host of fundraising activities throughout the year with all the proceeds going to PCAS. We will be keeping you posted with all of the fun we get up to throughout the year while fundraising for PCAS. Our upcoming events include a Valentine’s Day raffle, as well as an Easter bake off competition in April for PCAS’ 25th anniversary, and a Halloween fancy dress day!
We are very excited to be supporting this amazing charity this year and hopefully making a change in the local community.
